Chelsy Davy has disappointed Britain's Prince Harry by deciding to go on a tour of Europe with a friend this summer.
The Zimbabwean-born beauty - who was Harry's plus one at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on April 29 - has decided to take a road trip with friend Lady Melissa Percy, the daughter of the Duke of Northumberland, despite the 26-year-old royal being keen to spend to work on their on/off relationship.
A source told Britain's Daily Mail , "Chelsy always said that she would come back to London and Harry was really excited about spending the summer with her.
Though Harry adores Chelsy, he is not the kind of boy that you can leave unsupervised all summer."
However, the pair is keen to meet up and have decided to do so in Spain in July.
The source added, "They have plans to meet up in Valderrama in Spain at the end of July, but a lot can happen before then."
Chelsy's decision to spend the summer away from Harry comes at a crucial time in their stormy relationship as it was reported earlier this week that Harry is keen to settle down with Chelsy after seeing his brother Prince William marry Catherine Middleton.
A source said: "Harry may act like a joker, but he's serious about Chelsy.
"Seeing William settle down has had a big impact on him and made him think more about his own future. He knows the bond he has with her is too good to just throw away."
