Hum bhi toh World No 1 hain

While the entire nation went gaga over the Indian cricket team winning the World Cup last weekend, boxer Vijender Singh showed little interest in talking about cricket. "Main toh so raha tha. Maine toh match nahin dekha," he said.

When asked how he felt about India lifting the cup, Vijender replied, "India ne World Cup title jeeta toh kaun si badi baat hai, hum bhi toh world champions hain. Kitne sportsmen hain jinhone world championship title jeete hain, kya log kabhi unhe bhi yaad karte hain?

Hamare desh mein aur bhi achhe khiladi hain, kya log unhe bhi jaante hain? Sadly, only cricket dominates Indian sport."
